Unstoppable Love

Try to stop Your love and You would wage a war
Try to take the very thing You gave Your life for
You would come running
Tear down every wall
All the while You’re shouting
“My Love, you’re worth it all”.
God you pursue me with power and glory
Unstoppable Love that never ends
You’re unrelenting with passion and mercy
Unstoppable Love that never ends.

This song Unstoppable Love by Kim walker Smith has been blasting in my head this entire day. There are moments when we feel worthless, useless, we feel like sinners and, that Jesus is just going to abandon us. However on the contrary, the bible say’s in Romans 8:35 NIV, Whom or what will separate us from the love of Christ. Will it be hardship, persecution, or famine. Paul the author of the book of romans states “I am Convinced neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither present nor future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 8:38-39 NIV. The devil is a liar and the father of them, our situation does not define us, our past, our pain or our current struggle, does not define who we are in the eyes of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are worth it all in the eyes of Jesus. The love of Christ is so immense for us, that it covers a multitude of sin, this is the thing humanity forgets. That Christ loves us, and he became the ultimate sacrifice just to save you and me. The song continues to say:

No sin, no shame,
No past, no pain
Can separate me from Your love
No height, no depth,
No fear, no debt
Can separate me from Your love

I will like to end with this thought, sometimes we let certain situations define us and remove the love that Christ has for us. We are not perfect, in fact the bible says “No man is good except God” Mark 10:28 NIV. The fact that we are not perfect does not give us leeway to sin. In fact we are suppose to strive to be like Christ, however men fail. When we fail our mind creates the mentality, how am I going to get up from this sin, we think that Jesus has abandon us, and that he gave up on us. Jesus is actually sitting on the right hand of God interceding for us right now to the father. Jesus is waiting for us to call on to his name for forgiveness and freedom. He knew who we were since the day we were forming in the womb of our mothers. He knows our weakness and our struggle, the beauty of Jesus is that he extends his hand not to judge us but to lift us up, and he covers us in his mercy and provides a way to escape from sin.
